Sally Dicey

 Senior Consultant in Resource Management & Natural Environment

 

Sally has 18 years of experience as an environmental planner. She has a broad base of experience in this field, having worked for environmental groups, councils, community groups and as a consultant. She is a specialist in freshwater management, with a particular focus on integrated catchment based solutions within rural communities.

Sally is passionate about working with communities and individuals to assist them in using resources in a wise and sustainable manner. She is expert at applying complex scientific and technical information to develop a considered management response. Sally is highly experienced at policy analysis and development, facilitation and community engagement. Projects she has worked on include limit setting in the Lindis and Kyeburn catchments of Otago, community wastewater upgrades, and the development of a second generation district plan.

Sally graduated from Otago in 1997 with an Honours degree in Law before returning to complete her Masters of Planning in 2004.

Sally is mum to three kids and loves spending time with them out in the ocean or biking. In her spare time she enjoys trying to wrangle a garden out of her family’s coastal property and walking the family dog. Sally is a long-standing trustee of the Tomahawk Smaills Beachcare Trust, a community group working to enhance bio-diversity in the back dunes of Tomahawk and Smaills Beaches.
